The Founding Moment

The first time I met a Standard Poodle, I expected a dog. 

What I got was a large, inquisitive creature who studied me carefully, formed an immediate opinion, and has been reconsidering it ever since.

Dog Over People started there.

Standard Poodles are not dogs who think they're people. They're people who've accepted the misclassification — graciously, and with visible effort.

This is apparel for the humans in that arrangement. The ones who lost the couch. Whose commands are filed for later review. Who didn't adopt a dog so much as pass an evaluation.

Everything here is designed for people who live with someone who happens to be a poodle.

The Principals

This is Jackson. And Frankie.

They didn't ask to be the face of a T-shirt brand. They haven't commented on the arrangement. Jackson has opinions about most things and shares them selectively. Frankie approaches every situation as a problem worth solving — usually before you've identified the problem.

They are Standard Poodles. They are the reason this exists.
